    • Showcasing how DVB-Native IP (DVB-NIP), DVB-Home Broadcast (DVB-HB) and DVB-I standards can enable broadcast content delivery via satellite to multiple screens, for seamless distribution of live and on-demand services at home and in hospitality venues.
    • In collaboration with INVERTO, ONSCREEN PUBLISHING, RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana and VESTEL.

DELIVER ANY CONTENT TO ANY SCREEN

Eutelsat’s latest DVB-NIP implementation combining DVB-HB and DVB-I standards ensures seamless distribution via satellite of:

    • NIP OTT Streams: providing direct IP-based content delivery.
    • NIP Push Files: for efficient, standardised distribution of VOD and AVOD via local gateway storage, with playback on either the gateway or DVB-I client.
    • Hybrid DVB-I Service Lists: merging DVB-NIP OTT services with traditional DVB services, the DVB-NIP Gateway decodes the DVB services and uses the DVB-HB standard to package and redistribute them to DVB-I clients.
    • Enriched EPG based on DVB-I Content Guide: displaying 7day+ programme information and images.
    • Integration of the DNS-SD/mDNS Device Discovery protocol on the gateway and DVB-I client: facilitating automatic service discovery, seamless connectivity and content distribution in home networks.

DVB-NIP enhances the multi-screen experience, enabling content availability on any screen, including:

    • Smart TVs with embedded DVB-I client featuring Device Discovery capabilities
    • Multiscreen devices (smartphones, tablets, streamers, PCs) equipped with DVB-I clients supporting Device Discovery protocol.

Eutelsat will also be presenting Sat.tv Connect, the enhanced Free-to-Air TV channel and programme guide based on the DVB-I and HbbTV standards, on the Onscreen Publishing stand. The service is launching on new Smart TVs from Vestel.
